Can you see my eyes open

Resting up against Mommy and taking a quick look around. Not only can I take a few steps, I can now open my eyes too! I don't look around for long periods of time. If you aren't quick you'll miss me peeking at you from behind mommy!

Here we are kind of laying here and not doing much except moving around. Sometimes we move around so much that we slide off the little area where mommy feeds us and keeps us warm. But this time I am moving around with my eyes open!

Good grief...nest life exposed! HA. I guess that they are warm enough cause they are in your home right? Otherwise they would be snuggling in a feather lined little nest I guess. Good thing it is not winter and drafty in that apartment. Well, the top shot there they look 'normal'. But it still takes some getting used to...those little naked guys! Hee hee...great photography there kiddo! I'll send these to dad too! Did you talk to him today?

I tried a little nest with nesting material when the first egg was laid and the mommy didn't seem to like it. She tried to just get the egg out and keep it on the bottom of the cage. It will be fun to see the feathers come in!
Yes I talked with Dad but he had not got the pictures of the birds that he had seen yet.

Oh my the birdies have their eyes open..I chuckle at how 'strange' they look now but we know they will be looking just fine in a little while.
This is the first time I've been able to watch the daily ongoings of baby birds growing up. Thank you for sharing..

You must see a slight difference every day in their progress .

It has been fun sharing how the babies are growing! Thank you for your comments Betty. Thank you Dee Dee. It did take a little bit of time to get those eyes ope at the right time! The 3rd egg never hatched. The egg has been in the nest but I think I will remove the egg so that all of the attention can be put on the 2 babies.
