The Same or Different

Could that possible be the same bird looking at himself inside a cage? Whisch one is which. It looks like they could be the same bird at first glance. But they are two very different little birds though and very much alive looking at each other, one inside and the other outside the cage, each very curious about the other one. It was so much fun to watch them as they chatted to each other through the cage.

One Little one

One of my little baby birds some years ago now. Still a baby.  And oh so tiny and soft to the touch. He or she (not sure at this point) is looking out over the cage at whatever is happening around it! The feathers coming in so nicely. When they are tiny like this it is fun to watch them explore, to discover things. What a joy it was to have been able to have the opportunity to watch nature so closely!

Cheeps

Cheeps, my little boy! He'd get so excited when I came home from work. When I came in to where he was he'd be pacing back and forth, back and forth on the perch he is sitting on in the picture. I'd get an extra perch from outside the cage and open the cage door. Hw'd be out almost before I had the door open for him. He'd fly to the opposite end of the room and back to the perch I was holding outside the cage. Two more times he'd do this, three times in all. He seemed satisfied with that. After that we'd spend our bonding time togethere and he'd sit on my hand or shoulder for awhile.

Mirrors

Mirrors on the wall, oh no that is a mirror on the pillow.  "Who is that in the mirror. Could it be another bird that looks just the same as me or is it really me."  It is fascinating to see the time a bird will spend with a mirror. It is good entertainment and they think that there could possibly be another bird. The more he got excited with the other bird in the mirror the more his wings crossed over instead of relaxing by his side. You can see here he is excited by the way his wings are crossed over.

Picture taken

Now that I don't have any birds to take care of, I  am looking back at pictures that I have of the birds that were such individuals and so interesting to watch. Cheeps here came into my care quite some time ago now. It didn't take long for us to bond. Here he is quite curious of the camera. What is it, what does it do! There are some, weather human or in pet form that are always ready for the camera anytime anywhere. Then there are those that get a picture for no reason and the unexpected picture can be the best of all. Always there is always the one behind the camera that sometimes gets into the picture but enjoys the fun of seeing what the next picture will be.

My Birds

There is a beauty in whatever creature there is weather it is something we like or it gives us the shivers! We may not see the beauty that others see in a creature whatever it is. There is no doubt in the softness of a cat or a dog and being able to hold them. Have you ever thought of how soft the feathers are when you can touch a bird are. They are so soft. And to feel the warmth of those tiny feet as they wrap around your finger and stay there for awhile. It always amazed and still amazes me that one can have the trust of one of these tiny little birds. To have them sit on your finger, shoulder and yes, even on your head. Each

one has their own personality so with each one that trust will come at different times and maybe not at all.
