Mommy and baby taking a nap. Mommy gets worn out! She needs some sleep too!

oh my....good grief....I have such a silly question but here it is for all to see how silly I am....but how do the baby birds get fed? in nature there are worms...do they feed them seeds?
I don't know much about it either but in this case, having them at home here, as I have watched the "daddy" eats the seeds and in turn feeds "mommy". From there "mommy" feeds the seeds to the babies. It is so interesting and so cute!

Trish, I believe the mother bird regurgitates the food into the fledgings' mouths, to start the digestive process as they are too young to do it on their own. I think I saw that on Animal Kingdom or something.
