Since Mothers Day is coming up we thought that a picture would be nice to give daddy! How much do we look alike! Wink! Maybe next year would be a good idea to give us more of a mommy/child "look alike" picture! By then we would be a fully feathered bird and also know for sure if it was a mother/daughter picture or a mother/son picture.

Thanks for your email yesterday and I would LOVE to comment on your birds!!! I wrote a LONG one last time that did not go through so hopefully this one will! The picture today looks as if the baby is tinted green like the parent... that can't be, can it? AND... one question I have is.. what happened to the third egg? Did I miss something?

Hi Lynnette, Thanks for your comment. It came through perfectly this time. The babies are still a more pink shade. The parent more a turquoise shade. The third egg I have taken out of the cage. A pet store had suggested that after 3 weeks if nothing had happened yet that nothing likely would come of the egg anyways and this egg was 4 weeks old. This way now the mommy can concentrate on the 2 birds that are alive.
These birds are growing at a rapid pace..changing right before our eyes. I too had been wondering about that egg..thanks for explaining that.
